REHABILITATION/ASPHALT OVERLAY OF DENNIS OSADEBEY WAY (FROM INTER-BAU ROUNDABOUT TO ABRAKA JUNCTION BY BENIN-ONITSHA EXPRESSWAY) ASABA, OSHIMILI SOUTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA

The rehabilitation and asphalt overlay of Dennis Osadebey Way from Inter-Bau Roundabout to Abraka Junction along the Benin-Onitsha Expressway in Asaba is aimed at restoring the road to a durable and motorable condition. The scope of work for the 7.65km length of roads also includes scarification, earthworks, earthfil, concrete works comprising of desiltation of drains, demolition of failed slabs, median kerbs and walkways, reconstruction of manholes, kerbs, construction of new jersey barrier, pavement surfacing comprising of crushed stone base, binder course for failed sections, wearing course for the entire carrieageway, thermoplastic road markings and painting of kerbs.

The project is expected to significantly improve transportation within Oshimili South Local Government Area by enhancing connectivity between key commercial and residential areas. It will reduce travel time, improve safety for road users, and support economic activities by facilitating the efficient movement of goods and services. Additionally, the rehabilitation works will contribute to urban development and create employment opportunities, thereby promoting a more accessible and sustainable environment.
