Project Description

The Construction of Robert Allor/Lem Street, Ughelli, in Ughelli, by the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, in this and beyond, is aimed at improving road infrastructure and enhancing accessibility within the community. The project involves 1,800m length of road, 7m average pavement width, 9.5m average formation width, 3,060m drains and 395m discharge drain. The scope of the 1,800 metres road include earthwork; clearing of site, removal topsoil and unsuitable mateirla followed by lateritic earth fill, concrete work; reinforced concrete (drain, culverts and access slabs), pavement structure; installation of a 250mm crushed stone base, surfacing; application of dual-layer Hot Rolled Asphalt (Binder and wearing courses), finalized with thermoplastic road markings.

This intervention is expected to support socio-economic activities, improve residents' living conditions, and facilitate the movement of goods and services within the community. It also contributes to sustainable infrastructural development and urban growth in Ughelli and beyond.
