Project Description

The project involves the implementation of flood and erosion control measures along Ekapamre, Erokpe, Usieffurun, and Orhuworun roads, as well as the rehabilitation of Ekresi Street and the construction of Alaba Street. Length of Alaba 520m; Pavement width 6m, length of Ekrasi street 690m; Pavement width 7.3m. The scope of the work includes site clearance and earthwork consisting of removal of unsuitable materials, sharp sand fill, concrete works involving demolition of dysfunctional drains, construction of drains of various sizes, culvert, construction of outfall structures and improvement of the discharge canals in the environ; pavement and surface involving binder and wearing courses with road markings.
This development will reduce the risk of environmental damage, improve road durability, and enhance accessibility for residents. It will also protect lives and property, promote safer transportation, and support sustainable development in Ughelli South Local Government Area.
