CONSTRUCTION OF INAM-ABBI ACCESS ROAD, NDOKWA WEST LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA

The construction of the Inam–Abbi Access Road in Ndokwa West Local Government Area, under the administration of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at providing a reliable and motorable link between communities within the area. The project includes 5,000m length, Inam-Abbi access road (from Abbi axis) 1,600m, Ogbe Opilima Street 350m, Inam-Abbi access road (from Aragba Axis) 3,050m, clearance width 15m and pavement width 7.3m. The scope of works for the 5,000m length of road includes the site clearance and earthworks, which comprises the removal of topsoil and unsuitable materials, filling with sharp river sand and laying of crushed stone base course; concrete works comprises the construction of drains and box culverts. Pavement surfacing, which consists of two layers of Hot Rolled Asphalt (HRA) and thermoplastic road marking.

This intervention will significantly improve transportation, ease the movement of people and agricultural produce, and reduce travel time. It will also enhance economic activities, improve access to social services, and contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the benefiting communities.
