Project Description

The Construction of Udu Harbour Market Access Road, Udu, in Udu Local Government Area, by the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, in this and beyond, is aimed at improving access to the harbour market and enhancing transportation within the area. The project involves 300m length, 950m length of drain, 18.5m clearance width and 12m pavement width. The scope of work for the 300m length of road comprises; site clearance, removal of unsuitable materials and earth filling with river sharp sand and stone base, concrete work; demolition of existing undersized drains, construction of concrete drains, culverts and slabs, pavement surfacing; 200mm thick rigid pavement with thermoplastic road marking.

This intervention is expected to boost commercial activities, reduce transportation challenges, and improve economic interactions within the community. It also contributes to sustainable infrastructural development, supports local trade and commerce, and enhances the overall socio-economic growth of the area and beyond.
