Project Description

The reconstruction of the Emu-Ebendo/Emu-Iyasele/Ashaka Road in Ndokwa West Local Government Area and Ndokwa East Local Government Area, by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at improving road infrastructure and connectivity between communities through the reconstruction of this strategic road corridor. The project involved 7,000m length, 10.3m pavement width, binder course, 7.3m wearing course and 6,500m drain.
The scope of works for the road includes the removal of debris, scarification of the failed asphaltic surface, earthworks, and concrete works involving the construction of rectangular drains and culverts, and pavement surfacing comprising a crushed stone base and a hot-rolled asphaltic pavement binder, with a 10.3m width and a 7.3m wearing course, on the entire stretch.
The project will enhance the movement of people, agricultural produce, goods, and services and transportation costs; improve access to social and economic opportunities; stimulate local commerce and rural development; and contribute to sustainable infrastructure and economic growth in the Ndokwa West and Ndokwa East Local Government Areas.
