CONSTRUCTION OF POWERLINE ROAD AND ENGR. NIEMOGHA EMMANUEL CLOSE, EFFURUN, UVWIE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA.

The construction of Powerline Road and Engr. Niemogha Emmanuel Close in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area, by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at improving road infrastructure and accessibility through the construction of durable road networks serving residential and commercial areas. The project involves 680m length of road, 12.5m average clearance width, 10.3m total pavement width, 7.3m main carriage way width, 1.5m hard shoulder (with binder on both sides).
The scope of work for the 680m length of road includes site clearance, removal of topsoil and unsuitable material, earth filling with sharp river sand, soil-cement stabilization, construction of concrete drains, culverts, access slabs, crushed stone base, pavement surfacing consisting of two layers of HRA (binder and wearing courses) and thermoplastic road marking.
The project will enhance the movement of people, goods, and services, improve access to homes and businesses, stimulate economic and social activities, and contribute to sustainable infrastructure and community development in Uvwie Local Government Area.
