Project Description

The project entails the procurement, supply, and installation of nine medical ventilators across four government-owned hospitals in Delta State. The scope includes delivery of ventilator units, installation, testing, and commissioning, as well as basic operational training for healthcare personnel to ensure proper use and maintenance. The ventilators will be allocated to designated hospitals based on critical care demand and facility capacity, thereby strengthening intensive care and emergency response services within the state’s public healthcare system.

By enhancing the availability of life-support equipment in government hospitals, the project improves the capacity to manage severe respiratory illnesses, surgical complications, trauma cases, and other critical conditions requiring assisted ventilation. This intervention contributes to improved patient survival rates, reduced referrals to distant tertiary facilities, and strengthened emergency preparedness within Delta State’s health sector. Overall, the project supports the delivery of quality and equitable healthcare services and reinforces government efforts to upgrade medical infrastructure across public hospitals.
