Project Description

The project involves the construction and rehabilitation of the Ekuku-Agbor/Okpe-Abavo Road (Phase II), aimed at restoring and upgrading the road to a durable standard. Length of road, 13.786km, total length of drains, 8,900lm, average pavement width, 7.3m, shoulder width, 2m x 2. The scope of work for the road project includes site clearance, earthworks involving the removal of topsoil and filling with approved lateritic materials, scarification of failed asphalt, concrete works comprising drains and culverts, pavement surfacing consisting of crushed stone base, two layers of Hot Rolled Asphalt (HRA) and thermoplastinc road marking.

This intervention will improve transportation, enhance connectivity between communities, and reduce travel time. It will also support economic activities and contribute to sustainable development in Ika South Local Government Area.
