WIDENING OF NNPC HOUSING COMPLEX ROAD FROM EDJEBA JUNCTION TO THE BRIGDE AND ASPHALT OVERLAY OF EKPAN LINK ROAD FROM FIRST BANK TO REFINERY ROAD EKPAN IN UVWIE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA

The rehabilitation and asphalt overlay of Etuwewe Road in Warri South Local Government Area, under the administration of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at restoring the road to a durable and motorable condition. The 1,755m length of road consists of 755m of the section to be widened from Edjeba junction to the foot of the bridge and 1,000m length of asphalt overlay of dual carriageway on Ekpan link road from First Bank to refinery road. The widening of the road, with a width of 2.75m on either side, is necessary considering the height of the existing road and as a major route for motorists traversing to other parts of Effurun and Warri Metropolis. The scope of works involves earthworks, including removal of unsuitable materials, filling with sharp sand material and laying of a stone base and one layer of Asphalt of 40mm thickness wearing course. It also consists of concrete works comprising concrete drainage and slabs.

This intervention will enhance accessibility and improve road safety for residents and commuters. It will also facilitate the movement of goods and services, support local businesses, and contribute to the area's overall socio-economic development.
