Project Description

The construction of Umuoshimi Road with spurs to Ogbe-Aku, Market Road, and San’s House in Onicha-Ugbo is aimed at providing a reliable and well-connected road network within the community. The scope of works for the 2,750m length of roads includes earthworks such as site clearing, removal of topsoil/unsuitable materials, laterite earth fill, crushed stone base, concrete works including construction of concrete drain, concrete culverts, concrete slabs and pavement surfacing consisting of two layers of asphalt and thermoplastic road marking.

The project is expected to significantly improve transportation, reduce travel time, and enhance access to economic and social facilities within the area. It will promote local trade by improving access to market areas and supporting community development. Additionally, the construction work will generate employment opportunities and contribute to sustainable infrastructural growth in Aniocha North Local Government Area.
