Project Description

The project involves the reconstruction of a critical section of the Warri–Sapele–Benin Road, awarded by the Delta State Government to China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) at a contract value exceeding ₦35 billion. The scope covers approximately 10 kilometres of dual carriageway from the Spare Parts Market U-Turn, Effurun, to near Ohore Junction before Omenta Bridge across Uvwie and Okpe Local Government Areas. The works include expanded carriageway widths, reinforced concrete pavement, stormwater drainage, shoulders, and a durable wearing course, with completion scheduled within 12 months. The intervention aligns with the Governor’s M.O.R.E Agenda and is aimed at restoring a vital transport corridor linking Delta State to the wider South-South and Niger Delta regions.
