REHABILITATION/CONSTRUCTION OF OKWETOLOR/OKOBIA/ARAGBA ROAD, WITH SPUR TO OKOGUME (PHASE II), OKPE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA

The rehabilitation and construction of Okwetolor–Okobia–Aragba Road with a spur to Okogume (Phase II) in Okpe Local Government Area, by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at improving road connectivity and transportation through the rehabilitation and construction of the road and its connecting spur. The road includes a 12,565m length with a 9.3m pavement width. The scope of work includes site clearance, scarification of old asphalt surface, removal of top soil and unsuitable materials, sharp sand filling, sharp sand for replacement of topsoil and unsuitable material removal, sharp sand filling, shoulder grassing, desilting of existing drains, demolition of old undersized drains, concret box culverts, concrete slabs and pavement surfacing consisting of two layers of asphalts, 500mm HRA binder course and 40mm HRA wearing course.

The project will enhance the movement of people, goods, and services, improve access to surrounding communities, stimulate economic and social activities and contribute to sustainable infrastructure and rural development in Okpe Local Government Area.
