Project Description

The project involves the construction of Orient Drive and Orient Way, located off NPA Expressway and Nigercat Road, respectively in Ekpan, Uvwie Local Government Area. The road is 470m in length (Orient Drive 130m, Orient Way 340m), drainage, 810m (length), 8m (width). The road is currently in a deplorable condition, it experiences persistent flooding during the rainy season, making it unmotorable and causing severe hardship to residents of the area.
The scope of the work for the 470m road includes cathodic protection of the Nigeria Gas pipeline facility. Earthworks, including removal of topsoil and unsuitable materials and filling with sharp sand, concrete works; includes the construction of drainage channels and culverts, crushed stone and Asphalt works comprising binder course ansd wearing course.
Upon completion, the road with adequate drainage will address the perenial flooding in the area, improve the general road network and enhance the socio-economic well-geing of residents.
