Project Description

The construction of Okpolo–Enhuve–Uwheru Road (Phase III) in Isoko South Local Government Area by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori is aimed at completing and upgrading a key road network that connects several communities within the area. The scope of works for the 5,434 metre length with a width of 7.5m and drain 1,800lm road includes site clearance, removal of topsoil and unsuitable materials, earth-fill with sharp river sand and laying of crushed stone base, concrete works comprising demolition of existing undersized culverts, construction of concrete drains, culverts and access slabs. Pavement surfacing involving two (2) layers of Hot Rolled Asphalt (binder and wearing courses), complete with thermoplastic road markings and a 2-span bridge.

The project will enhance transportation, reduce travel time, and facilitate the movement of agricultural produce and other goods within the region. It will also improve road safety, boost local economic activities, and contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the benefiting communities.
