Project Description

The Construction of Concrete Landing Jetty with Waiting Shed at Ayakoromo in Burutu Local Government Area, by the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, in this and beyond, is aimed at improving water transportation infrastructure and enhancing safe movement for residents and commuters within the riverine community. The scope of work for the concrete landing jetty and waiting shed involves site clearance, pilling works, steel reinforcement, concreting of pils, beams and slabs, steel hand rails, jetty bollards and the fabrication of the waiting shed.

This intervention is expected to improve access to transportation services, ease the transportation of aquatic produce, provide a safe landing for transportation, give employment and yield revenue for the state. It also contributes to sustainable infrastructural development, supports riverine transportation, and enhances the living conditions of residents in the community and beyond.
