INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT WORKS AT ADAMS PRIMARY SCHOOL ISSELE-UKU, ANIOCHA NORTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA

The infrastructural development works at Adams Primary School in Issele-Uku, located in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, were undertaken to improve the physical learning environment and address critical infrastructure gaps affecting effective primary education delivery. Many public primary schools face challenges such as deteriorating classroom blocks, inadequate furniture, and insufficient sanitation facilities, which hinder teaching quality and pupil learning outcomes. The project therefore focused on rehabilitating and/or constructing classroom structures, providing desks and chairs for pupils and teachers, and upgrading essential amenities such as toilets and water points to create safe, functional, and child-friendly learning spaces.

Through these improvements, the intervention is expected to enhance pupil enrolment, attendance, and retention while strengthening teacher effectiveness and learner participation. The project supports equitable access to quality basic education and contributes to community development priorities in Aniocha North LGA. By ensuring that children learn in secure and dignified environments, the initiative advances progress toward Sustainable Development Goals on Quality Education, Clean Water and Sanitation, and resilient infrastructure, thereby promoting long-term human capital development in Issele-Uku and surrounding communities.
