Project Description

The Flood and Erosion Control Measures at Beneku/Okpai Road, by the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, in this and beyond, are aimed at addressing flooding and erosion challenges affecting the road and surrounding communities. The scope of work for the 600 metres length includes site clearing, earthfill of the embankment, concrete works involving retaining walls, ramps, steps, provision of a toe beam, chutes and concreting of the slope of the embankment to protect the embankment fromm eroding.

This intervention is expected to enhance road durability, improve accessibility and safety for commuters, and reduce environmental damage caused by flooding and erosion. It also contributes to sustainable infrastructural and environmental development within the local government area and beyond.
