Project Description

The construction of the Ogbedigbo–Afor Road, with a spur to Obi Palace Road, in Ndokwa East Local Government Area, by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori. The length of the road is 1,430m, 130m spur to the Obi Palace, 12.5m clearance width and 7.3m pavement width.
The scope of work for the project includes scarification of failed asphaltic pavement, earthworks involving removal of unsuitable materials and subsequent fill using both river sharp sand and lateritic earth-fill materials, concrete works comprising drains, culverts and access slabs as pavement works involving crushed stone base course followed by two layers hot rolled asphalt (HRA). Upon completion, the project will provide a durable road network that facilitates the efficient movement of residents, traders, farmers, and visitors, improves access to the Obi Palace, markets, schools, healthcare facilities, and other essential public services as well as contributes to sustainable infrastructure development and improved living standards in Ndokwa East Local Government Area.
