REHABILITATION OF OLD SAPELE-WARRI ROAD FROM AMUKPE JUNCTION TO IKWEWU COMMUNITY BY THE EXPRESSWAY WITH A SPUR TO HON. AUSTINE AYOMIDEJOR CLOSE IN AMUKPE TOWN, SAPELE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA.

The rehabilitation of the Old Sapele–Warri Road from Amukpe Junction to Ikwewu Community by the expressway, with a spur to Hon. Austine Ayomidejor Close in Amukpe Town, Sapele Local Government Area, under the administration of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at restoring the road to a durable and motorable condition. The project involves 3,590m length, 3,470m length of old Sapele/Warri road, 120m Length of spur to Austine Ayamidejor Close, 7.3m pavement and 3,000m drains (both sides). The scope of work includes earthworks comprising site clearance, regulation of potholes, scarification of failed sections, removal of unsuitable materials, sharp river sand fill, crushed stone base course; concrete works consisting of construction of drains, box culverts, kerbs, access slabs and pavement surfacing consisting of two layers of Hot Rolled Asphalt (HRA) as well as road markings.

This intervention will improve accessibility and enhance road safety for residents and commuters. It will also facilitate the movement of goods and services, support local businesses, and contribute to the socio-economic development of Amukpe Town and surrounding communities.
