Project Description

The construction of the Egodo–Ogbeinbene Road in Burutu Local Government Area, by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at improving transportation infrastructure and enhancing connectivity between riverine communities. The project involves 2,000m length, 12m clearance width and 7.3m pavement width.
The scope of work for the road includes site clearing, removal of topsoil and unsuitable materials, sharp river sand filling; concrete works comprising of the construction of various sizes of culverts, stone pitching of high embankment areas; pavement surfacing comprising of 150mm crushed stone base followed by 150mm thick reinforced concrete pavement.
The project will provide a durable road network that facilitates the efficient movement of residents, traders, farmers, and goods, improves access to schools, healthcare facilities, markets, and other essential public services, reduces transportation costs, stimulates economic and commercial activities, encourages rural development and investment and improved quality of life in Burutu Local Government Area.
