REPLACEMENT OF BURNT 1 (NO) 300KVA.33/0.400KV TRANSFORMR AT THE DRUG REVOLVING FUND OFFICE ASABA, OSHIMILI SOUTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA.

The project involved the replacement of a burnt 300KVA, 33/0.400KV distribution transformer at the Drug Revolving Fund (DRF) Office in Asaba, located in Oshimili South Local Government Area of Delta State. The failure of the existing transformer had disrupted electricity supply to the facility, compromising the storage and distribution of essential medicines and the effective functioning of pharmaceutical and administrative operations. The intervention therefore focused on the procurement, installation, and commissioning of a new transformer to restore stable and reliable power supply to the DRF office and associated health service functions.

By reinstating dependable electricity, the project ensures proper preservation of temperature-sensitive drugs, continuous operation of equipment, and efficient service delivery within the state’s drug supply management system. The intervention strengthens health system infrastructure and supports uninterrupted access to essential medicines for health facilities and communities served by the DRF scheme. Overall, the project advances progress toward Sustainable Development Goals on Good Health and Well-being, Affordable and Clean Energy, and resilient infrastructure, contributing to improved public health service delivery in Oshimili South LGA and Delta State at large.
