INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT AT OBI-ELEAMAKA PRIMARY SCHOOL NSUKWA AND ANIOGOR PRIMARY SCHOOL, EJEME-ANIOGOR IN ANIOCHA SOUTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA

The infrastructural development project at Obi-Eleamaka Primary School in Nsukwa and Aniogor Primary School in Ejeme-Aniogor, both in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, was implemented to enhance the physical learning environment and address critical infrastructure deficits affecting basic education delivery. Many rural public primary schools face deteriorating classroom structures, insufficient furniture, and inadequate sanitation facilities, which negatively impact teaching effectiveness and pupil engagement. The project, therefore, focused on rehabilitating and/or constructing classroom blocks, providing desks and chairs, and upgrading essential facilities such as toilets and water points to create safe, child-friendly, and functional learning spaces.

Through these improvements, the intervention aims to boost enrolment, regular attendance, and retention of pupils, especially girls and vulnerable children, while improving teacher motivation and instructional quality. The project contributes to equitable access to quality basic education and supports broader community development goals in Aniocha South LGA. By ensuring that children learn in secure and dignified environments, the initiative advances progress toward Sustainable Development Goals on Quality Education, Clean Water and Sanitation, and resilient infrastructure, fostering long-term human capital development in the benefiting communities.
