Project Description

The completion of the construction of the Torugbene–Ojobo Road (Phase II), Section B, from the end of Section 1 to Ojobo in Burutu Local Government Area, under the administration of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at finalizing an important transportation project that links communities within the riverine area. The project involves 9,463m length of road, 13m average clearance width, 10m average pavement width and 30m bridge length. The scope of works for the 9,463m length of road includes site clearance, removal of topsoil and unsuitable materials, sharp sand fill, crushed stone base, drainage construction, reinforcement of the road base, and asphalt surfacing to provide a durable and accessible roadway.

This intervention will significantly improve transportation, ease the movement of people and goods, and reduce travel difficulties within the benefiting communities. It will also support economic activities such as fishing, farming, and local trade, improve access to social amenities, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the area.
