Construction of Iwride-Iyede International Roads (Phase I), Isoko North Local Government Area

Project Description

The construction of Iwride–Iyede International Roads (Phase I) in Isoko North Local Government Area, by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at improving road infrastructure and connectivity through the construction of modern road networks linking communities within the area. The scope of work for the 2,000m length of road includes site clearance and earthworks, which comprises the removal of topsoil and unsuitable materials, filling with sharp river sand, and concrete works comprising concrete drains, demolition of existing non-functional culverts, culverts and pavement works comprising crushed stone base which consist of two layers of Hot Rolled Asphalt (HRA) and thermoplasting road marking.

The project will enhance the movement of people, goods, and services, improve access to economic and social opportunities, stimulate commercial activities and contribute to sustainable infrastructure and socio-economic development in Isoko North Local Government Area.
