Project Description

The reconstruction of the access road to the Kwale Free Trade Zone First Entrance Gate in Ndokwa West Local Government Area, by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at improving access to the Free Trade Zone by providing a durable and efficient road network that supports industrial and commercial activities. The total length of road include 5,640m, clearance width 15m, pavement width 7.3m, width of hard shoulder (2 sides) 3m and length of kerbs (roundabout) 200m.
The scope of the work includes site clearance, removal of topsoil and unstable materials, placement of lateritic fill, crushed stone base, concrete works (walkways, kerbs), pavement surfacing with hot rolled asphalt (HRA) binder and wearing courses and thermoplastic road marking.
