INSTALLATION OF SOLAR POWERED STREETLIGHTS AT OKPANAM ROAD FROM LEGISLATIVE QUARTER TO OKPANAM CITY GATE (BY PASS) IN OSHIMILI NORTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA.

The project entails the installation of solar-powered street lighting systems along Okpanam Road, extending from the Legislative Quarters to the Okpanam City Gate (Bypass) in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State. The scope includes supply and installation of solar panels, LED luminaires, charge controllers, batteries, poles, and mounting accessories, as well as civil works required for pole foundations and system commissioning. The solar lighting units will be strategically positioned to provide continuous illumination along the corridor, independent of the conventional electricity grid.

The installation of solar streetlights will enhance nighttime visibility, road safety, and public security for motorists, pedestrians, and nearby residents along this important access route into Okpanam. The use of renewable solar energy ensures sustainable and cost-effective operation with minimal recurrent energy costs and reduced environmental impact. The project therefore contributes to improved urban mobility, safer communities, and environmentally responsible infrastructure development within Oshimili North Local Government Area.
