Construction of Okwighele Amuokpokpor Road, Okpe Local Government Area.

Project Description

The construction of Okwighele Amuokpokpor Road in Okpe Local Government Area by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at improving transportation and accessibility within the benefiting communities. The scope of work for the 3,757m length road, 12m clearance width, 7.3m pavement width includes site clearance and earthworks which comprises of the removal of topsoil and unsuitable materials. Filling with sharp river sand and laying of crushed stone base course; concrete works comprising of the construction of drains and box culverts. Pavement surfacing which consist of two layers of Hot Rolled Asphalt (HRA) and thermoplastic road marking.

This intervention will reduce transportation difficulties, improve the movement of people and goods, and enhance road safety for commuters and residents. It will also support local economic activities, improve access to social amenities, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the area.
